 I’m looking at LinkedIn profiles this morning.  I’m actually re-verifying a list of candidates, the organizations they work for and Hoover’s information.  Good fun stuff early on a Friday. It’s actually pretty tedious. But as I’m clicking and cross referencing, gosh darn it if I don’t see your LinkedIn profile picture.

Latest Seek figures show job ad numbers grew by more than 9 per cent last year, on the back of positive growth in 2010.

Are you a good candidate? Recruiters do like to place good candidates with good companies. An old colleague of mine once said there is no such thing as a bad company or a bad candidate; you just have to match the two.

How being unhappy at work can be bad for your career

Many people are unhappy in their job, but don’t have the time, energy or resources to look for something else and so stay where they are. However, seeing as though you spend most of your adult life working it helps to have a job which you enjoy or, at the very least, a job which you don’t hate. If you find yourself doing a job which stresses you out and makes you miserable your health is likely to deteriorate as a result.
